Who We Are:

Phases of Womanhood, Inc. was founded in 2003 by a group of Catholic women in the Washington, D.C. area. Our Board members and officers include women whose own experiences mirror the challenges and opportunities of today’s Catholic woman. We are wives, mothers, community and church leaders; some of us are at home raising families while others are engaged in business, education, health care and other professions.

Our inspiration for Phases of Womanhood comes from conversations with many women—our friends, sisters, co-workers, and neighbors. Like us, they found that the old voices of feminism no longer—or never did—speak to the priorities in our lives. Moreover, we sought practical guidance to help us shape and respond to the different phases of our lives. And, as Catholic women, we yearned to hear a view of womanhood that would acknowledge the role of God and the Church in our lives.

Phases of Womanhood, Inc. provides an answer for women like us. Through our conferences and other resources, we offer an authentic vision of womanhood, concrete ideas and information about the issues that matter most in our lives (such as intimacy, physical health, life changes, and family relationships), and the spiritual encouragement and connection to the Church that we desire.
